Selected by their peers to design the lobby of the historic Architects Building on Broad Street in Boston’s center, Stern McCafferty seized the opportunity to develop a mixed-media gallery and vibrant entry environment.

Working closely with a team of exhibit and lighting designers, Stern McCafferty developed a system of etched glass display panels, seamlessly integrated with a lining of wood panels, to display the works of local artists and architects. The space was made universally accessible by replacing stairs with a ramp, which leads the visitor through the gallery.
